Use a real quotation or your own scenario
Enter the measured area, your chosen cost per area, other known charges and the contingency percentage you want to explore. Keep one currency throughout. The tool multiplies area by the entered unit price, adds the other charges and applies the selected contingency. It supplies no contractor rates, material market prices or automatic local taxes.
Read exclusions beside the total
Check whether your unit price includes labor, material, preparation, delivery and finishing. Put missing quoted items into the other-cost input or leave them clearly outside the scenario. The contingency is an allowance you choose, not evidence that the final project will fit the estimate. Compare actual written proposals using the budget guide, and have the project team resolve unknown site conditions before treating a scenario as a commitment.
