Sources and methodology
What the sources establish and where judgment remains project-specific.
Primary provenance
The source lists identify the publisher and public document used for each discussion. Manufacturer documents establish guidance for their own products; trade-body explanations clarify terminology and standards; public-agency sources address their stated subject. These roles are different. A manufacturer comparison is not an independent head-to-head test of all products.
Original editorial synthesis
The publication adds decision checklists, coordination prompts and ways to organize unknowns. These are editorial recommendations rather than quotations from a standard. Technical figures are included only when their product and method context is clear. Search demand, article count and attractive imagery are not evidence of installed performance.
Evidence gaps
When a value needs the current product datasheet or a site inspection, the article asks for that evidence rather than inventing it. Sources can change after publication. Retain the actual project document revision and ask the supplier to resolve inconsistent instructions before work proceeds.
